South African Sevens coach Paul Treu has made two changes to his squad that will contest the Hong Kong and Adelaide legs of the InternationaI Rugby Board (IRB) World Sevens Series.
Injuries to Thobela Mdaka and Marius Schoeman means that they will not be travelling to the Far East and Australia.
In their place Treu has called up two exciting young prospects in Wilton Pietersen and Robert Ebersohn.
The Hong Kong tournament is the showpiece on the Series calendar and takes place over three days from 28-30 March, while the Adelaide Series-leg takes place a week later.
The South African team is currently second on the IRB Series log behind runaway leaders, New Zealand, and ranked third for the Hong Kong tournament.
The South African team leaves on Sunday for Hong Kong.
South Africa: Mpho Mbiyozo, Robert Ebersohn, Frankie Horne, Vuyo Zangqa, Neil Powell, Schalk van der Merwe, Renfred Dazel, Jonathan Mokuena, Mzwandile Stick, Fabian Juries, MJ Mentz, Wilton Pietersen.
