Bradley enthused for Aussie warmer

Sat, 23 Aug 2008 18:05

Connacht coach Michael Bradley is looking forward to his side's final pre-season encounter against the  Reds on Tuesday, with the Magners League less than two weeks until kick-off.

Bradley said that the pre-season campaign had gone well - despite an 'experimental' Connacht side losing to London Welsh last Friday - and that the final friendly match at the Sportsground was great for supporters of the province.

"It's a good opportunity to see probable Australian Internationals and definitely the future Queensland side for the Super 14 for the following five or six years so they'll have very exciting players on show at the Sportsground on Tuesday night," said Bradley.

With the start of the Magners League season just under two weeks away, Bradley is pleased with how his side has performed in the friendlies to date and is looking forward to the start of the new season.

"We're in pre-season mode. It's important that everyone gets as much game time as they possibly can to put themselves in a position to get selected, that's what this process is about.

"We'll reflect on the four pre-season matches in total at the end of August and then select on the basis of those for the Ospreys match.

"At the moment we're just finding things out about the side, in terms of how they react under pressure and the Queensland game on Tuesday will be an ideal time to gauge that as well," Bradley added.
