Robshaw pledges future to Quins

The two-time Premiership Player of the Year winner was named Harlequins' captain in 2010, a role he held during the Club's most successful period in its near 150 year history. After lifting the Challenge Cup in 2011, he also led them to their maiden Premiership crown in 2012.

Now he is set to lead the charge as the Twickenham Stoop side target Challenge Cup glory once more. The Red Rose captain is set to start against Cardiff Blues on Thursday night, and is hoping to create more winning memories under director of rugby Conor O'Shea.

"I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the Club and I'm extremely excited to keep pushing for silverware with both Harlequins and England. I would like to thank all of the supporters for their continued support and look forward to being with this great Club in the years to come," he said.

Quins made a red-hot start to this season's campaign with a 41-18 triumph over Montpellier. Tests against the Blues and Calvisano lie ahead, and O'Shea is delighted to have Robshaw at his disposal.

"Chris is everything you want in a player and everything that you would want as a person. He has achieved incredible things in his career to date. He is an exceptional ambassador and role model for the sport and deserves recognition for what he has done, and will continue to do, for this game. I'd like to thank him for his selfless dedication, humility and resilience.

"I'm sure everyone at Harlequins will be delighted with this announcement and will look forward to seeing Chris playing in a Harlequins and England shirt for many years to come," O'Shea said.
