Sharks hooker to join Wasps

Having made his debut for Sale Sharks in 2011, Taylor has gone on to make 93 appearances for the club, earning international recognition in England's games against the Barbarians in 2014 and 2015.

Taylor will add to the burgeoning number of young English players at Wasps who have formed the backbone of the club over the last few seasons and are now thriving in the Premiership, pushing for international selection.

"We're really pleased to be able to add Tommy to the squad for next season," said Wasps Director of Rugby Dai Young. "He is a really exciting English prospect who has impressed in the Premiership and in Europe this season with his dynamic physicality. At 24, he is a young front row forward who has a bright future ahead of him, with huge potential to develop and push his international ambitions.

Taylor added: "I'm really pleased to have signed a contract with Wasps and I'm really excited by the prospect of linking up with them ahead of the 2016/17 season. I've been hugely impressed by Wasps over the past couple of seasons and I'm looking forward to working with Dai and his coaching team.

"I have loved my time at Sale Sharks, leaving your hometown club is always a hard decision and I would like to thank all the fans, players and coaches, in particular Steve Diamond who showed faith in me from the start, for all their support. My focus now is on Sale Sharks and finishing this season as strongly as possible."
