NEWS: Wales international wing Aled Brew has joined Premiership side Bath on a short-term contract until the end of the year.

The 30-year-old has made over 100 appearances for Welsh region Newport Gwent Dragons throughout his career.

Brew earned seven caps for his country.

In August 2011 he was named in the Wales squad for the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand.

He represented Wales Sevens in the first two stages of the 2007–2008 World Series, in Dubai and George, South Africa, where the team won the Bowl trophy in the latter leg.

Brew was also part of the Welsh team who won the Melrose Cup at the 2009 World Cup Sevens.

"Aled is an international standard wing," said Bath Director of Rugby Todd Blackadder.

"So we are very pleased that he's joined us.

"He was looking for a fresh start, and will give us some more experience and add to the depth within the squad."
