The 33-year-old also bagged ten tries in just 23 appearances during the 2016/17 campaign.

Warriors Director of Rugby Gary Gold said: "Wynand is an experienced international who has been fantastic for us during his first couple of seasons with the club.

"He adds vital know-how to the backline and we're delighted he’s decided to extend his stay."

Olivier has played for South Africa 38 times with his last appearance coming in June 2014 in a win over Wales, while he was also part of the Springboks' World Cup-winning squad in 2007.

At club level, Olivier was a key component of a successful Bulls side in his home country from 2005 to 2013, where he tasted both Super Rugby and Currie Cup success with the province.

He then moved to France for two seasons with Montpellier making 38 appearances and featured for the illustrious Barbarians at Sixways in September 2015.
