The utility back, who is comfortable playing across the back line, has also played for Highlanders and Chiefs in Super Rugby.

Director of Rugby, Todd Blackadder, said: "James has impressed us in the few weeks that he’s been training at Bath, so we’re really pleased that he’s staying.

"He gives us an extra option in a number of positions across the back line, and his experience and game management will be a big asset,"

The Club can also confirm that Scott Andrews will remain on loan from Cardiff Blues for a further two months.
