According to the GloucestershireLive, 27-year-old Dreyer could be the man to fill the void left by John Afoa at Gloucester.

The All Black prop Afoa joined Bristol for the 2018 season and reports have been circulating that a deal has been reached for Dreyer to make the move to Kingsholm later this year.

Meanwhile, Janse van Rensburg, who is currently on loan at Sale Sharks is also likely to reunite with Ackermann.

Sale Sharks are keen to sign the Springbok on a permanent basis, however, acccording to the Rugby Paper ,Gloucester are now favourites to seal the centre's services.

Speaking to GloucestershireLive about his future last week, Janse van Rensburg said: "Anything can happen – that's the exciting thing about rugby. One day you can be in South Africa, the next day you can be in Sale or France or wherever.
