One of the most consistent loosehead props in the PRO12, Bevington has made over one-hundred appearances for Ospreys and would definitely be an asset to Bristol's front row.

"We’re pleased to welcome Ryan [Bevington] into the squad and looking forward to integrating him into our environment," Director of Rugby Andy Robinson told bristolrugby.co.uk.

"Ryan [Bevington] is in the prime of his career and has played at the highest level, he brings with him the experience and tactical nous required to be successful in the front row.

"Ryan [Bevington] still harbours international ambitions and is hungry to play in the Premiership. We’re confident he will complement what we are trying to achieve here," he added.

Bevington made his last international appearance against Italy in the 2014 Six Nations. He has represented Wales at all age-grade levels.

He said: "I’m excited about the opportunity to represent Bristol Rugby and to play in the top flight of English rugby.

"Having spoken to Andy [Robinson] and Mark [Bakewell], it’s clear that this is an ambitious environment to be involved in and I’m looking forward to being a part of that.

"I’ve got great memories from nine years with the Ospreys and I’d like to thank the supporters, staff and my team-mates for making my time there so enjoyable," he added.
