Hernandez out for a month

Hernandez was left out of coach Daniel Hourcade's 30-man squad ahead of their upcoming match against New Zealand in Buenos Aires on October 1 after Pumas team doctor Guillermo Botto confirmed that Hernandez will undergo surgery on his meniscus.

Meanwhile, both Manuel Montero and Jerónimo De la Fuente both recovered from their respective injuries and were included in the squad.

Tomas Lezana and Santiago García Botta are continuing their recovery from their injuries and they could join the squad next week. 

Both captain Agustin Creevy and lock Guido Petti are continuing to improve from their respective injuries and will be evaluated during the course of next week to determine their availability for the game against New Zealand.

Hernandez out for a monthAfter returning home with no log points from their recent trip to Australasia, Hourcade said he and is players are looking forward to facing New Zealand and Australia in Argentina. 

"These games help us to continue gaining experience, improve our game and to continue our growth in the game ahead of our main objective, which is the World Cup in Japan. 

"We go into each game trying to win and the result will depend on what is done on the field. Our goal is to always have the best possible result.

Argentina are currently fourth on the Rugby Championship standings after picking up just one win from their four games so far.

Their sole victory came against the Springboks (26-24) in Salta in Round Two.
