Senatla stated: "As an athlete you want to be better than last year."

The BlitzBoks occupy third spot in the overall World Rugby Seven Series standings. In the last leg of the Series, the Hong Kong Sevens, the BlitzBoks lost the semifinals to New Zealand.

Commenting on the semifinal exit, Senatla said: "It is very frustrating to come up so close every time. As an athlete you just think when is it [coming]."

Senatla will be anticipating success and belief his team have an advantage in the Singapore Sevens.

"We as a team have very strong assets. We as a team are firm believers and if we continue to do the right stuff, one or other day it will go in our favour.

“The advantage that we have; with us there is no emphasis on Hong Kong or Singapore it is a tournament and we give a 100 percent each time we step on the field,” he said

Senatla praised his teammates for creating try-scoring opportunities for him.

“I keep on emphasising that the team is doing most of the work and I am just grounding the ball.

“It is not about my personal goals, but the teams. I align my goals with the team,” he added.
