Cup Final: Kenya 30-7 Fiji

It was a dream start for Kenya when Oscar Ayodi found himself in space in the opening minute to run in for the first try of the game.

Collins Injera then showed his class to evade two Fijian defenders near the touchline to score his team's second try with just over five minutes left in the first half.

It was that man Injera again who got his team's third try three minutes later when he crashed over to give his team a 15-point lead.

With just seconds left in the half, Kenya again added to their tally. Samuel Oliech was the next to score as the Africans looked well on their way to causing a major upset.

Fiji needed to be the first to score in the second half and they did just that when Jerry Tuwai went over.

Fiji threatened on a number of occasion inside the Kenyan half for the next few minutes, but could not find a way through.

However, it was Kenya who finished the stronger of the two with Nelson Oyoo and Frank Wanyama both scoring tries to take the game beyond Fiji.

There was not much in the way of try-scoring opportunities in the opening minutes with both teams holding their lines well on defence.

The first try only came a minute before half-time when South Africa pounced on an Argentina mistake in their own 22, which saw Albertus Smith race downfield for the first try of the game.

The BlitzBoks extended their lead a minute into the second half when Siviwe Soyizwapi eased in for a try after another Argentinian error.

The game was then put to bed a few seconds later when Stephan Dippenaar scored his team' third try to put the BlitzBoks 21 points in front.

There was only one team in after that with the BlitzBoks continuing to find gaps in their opponents defence. Ruhan Nel was the next to score after he was put into space after sustained pressure.

In the end it was a comfortable win for the South Africans.
