Another injury blow for England

Henry Slade had to withdraw from the England training camp due to a shoulder injury he suffered in Exeter Chiefs' Champions Cup defeat to Glasgow Warriors.

Slade remained with Chiefs for further assessment and did not travel to Portugal for England's camp.

This new injury leaves England head coach Eddie Jones short on outside centre cover ahead of their opening Six Nations clash against Italy.

Jonathan Joseph is currently the only fit outside centre in the squad.

Ben Te'o is still nearing full fitness after an ankle injury he picked up in October last year.

Elliot Daly (ankle) is a long-term absentee, while Jack Nowell is doubtful for the Italy clash with a face injury.
