Injury crisis delays Scots

Scotland have delayed naming their team to play Ireland in their concluding Six Nations match in Dublin on Saturday in a bid to give several injured players extra time to prove their fitness as they seek to avoid landing the wooden spoon.
Flank Kelly Brown faces an anxious wait before learning if he will be passed fit to play against the Triple Crown-chasing Irish side.
A medical report from the Scotland medical team revealed that the Glasgow loose forward suffered a blow to his head in the 15-all Calcutta Cup clash draw with England at the weekend, and will have a medical check every day before learning whether he can play at Croke Park.
In a statement Scotland team doctor James Robson said: "Kelly is now subject to the usual return to play protocols that are in place following such an injury. He will be monitored on a daily basis."
Robson noted that prop Euan Murray and centre Nick De Luca (both shoulder bruising), wing Max Evans (leg bruising), fullback Hugo Southwell (calf) and flyhalf Phil Godman (shoulder joint/chest wall bruising) were also receiving treatment from Scotland physiotherapists Dan Moore and Stephen Mutch.
The Scotland team to play Ireland was due to be named on Tuesday, but it has now been confirmed that the side will only be released on Wednesday to allow the coaching staff time to monitor the injured players.
