Jones tops the 6N points scorers list

Mon, 22 Mar 2010 11:12

While France achieved a very impressive Grand Slam in the Six Nations, it is Wales' flyhalf Stephen Jones who finishes as leading point scorer for the tournament.

France can also thank scrumhalf Morgan Parra for contributing 61 points with his boot and the accurate goal-kicking of Dan Parks played a big part in Scotland's 23-20 win over Ireland and also their 15-15 draw with England.

As far as try scoring goes it is the Irish and the Welsh who each have two players with three tries to their names. Tommy Bowe and Keith Earls both showed their class and pace with precise finishing. The trickery and dancing feet of Shane Williams got him over the line and excellent running channels had James Hook crossing the whitewash in his new position at outside centre.
