Lions raise their bat against Leopards
The Lions raced to a 47-0 half-time lead before continuing the onslaught and claiming the emphatically easy victory.
The Lions wasted no time in getting the scoring underway against the Leopards as Andries Ferreira grabbed the opening score. Elton Jantjies made no mistake in adding the extra points to take the lead to 7-0.
There was no stopping the Lions from that point as they added a further three converted tries to stretch their lead to 28-0. The Leopards had no answer to a rampant Lions side as they trailed 0-47 at the half-time break.
The match quite simply got out of hand in the second half as the Lions continued to hand the Leopards a lesson in the game. The Leopards had no answer to what the Lions threw at them and conceded tries at will.
Referee Jaco van Heerden ended the Leopards' misery when the scoreline hit the century mark.
