The Argentine visitors had lock Tomas Lavanini and tighthead prop Ramiro Herrera red carded during the first half for shoulder charges to the heads of South African opponents.

And in the 70th minute they were down three men when flank Lezana Tomas was yellow-carded for repeated infringements – collapsing a maul illegally immediately after the referee had put them on 'final notice'.Jaguares thugs in the dock

Lavanini received his red card for foul play in the 25th minute.

Lavanini is charged with having contravened Law 10.4 (g): Dangerous charging – when he charged into an opponent with his shoulder and made contact with his opponent's head.

Herrera received his red card in the 37th minute.

Herrera is also charged with having contravened Law 10.4 (g): Dangerous charging – when he charged into an opponent on the ground and made contact with his opponent's head.

Both cases are to be considered in the first instance by SANZAAR judicial officer Michael Heron.

All SANZAAR disciplinary matters are in the first instance referred to a judicial officer hearing to provide the option of expediting the judicial process.

For a matter to be dispensed with at this hearing, the person appearing must plead guilty and accept the penalty offered by the judicial officer.

The Jaguares have been guilty of poor discipline all season and are the team that has collected the most yellow (and now) red cards in the 18-team competition.
