Kerevi happy to have Cooper back

Cooper rejoined the Reds after a stint with French club Toulon and Kerevi is hoping to build a solid combination with the playmaker.

"While playing with him at the Wallabies and during training we had some good conversations about this year," said Kerevi.

"I did not get to make that combination flourish when he was here as much as I wanted to, but I am really blessed that he is back and hopefully we complement each other on the field."

Kerevi was one of the star performers during last year's Super Rugby tournament, but he admits that there are aspects of his game he needs to work on.

"For myself, adding a bit of kicking to my game, so that I can get out of uncomfortable positions," he added.

"I know I attract a lot of defenders when I am attacking so putting others in space is one thing I am excited about, but again I am just focussing on my running game.

"I like that power game and it is one of my strengths. Defence is always something I can improve on as well."
