PRE-SEASON REPORT: The Bulls kick-off their pre-season campaign in style as they registered a 38-17 win against the Lions in Harare.

It was a nervy start for the men in blue as the Lions found their feet and within seven minutes scored the opening try of the match.

However, the Bulls relentless pressure was rewarded with a penalty try. And a conversion by Elton Janjies' younger brother, Tony Jantjies handed Bulls the lead, 7-5.

The lead was shortlived as Lions hit-back with a try, unfortunately for them, a second missed conversion in the match proved costly as their only took a lead of 10-7.

Before the break, the Bulls added a double, thanks to the Renaldo Bothma and Nick de Jager. Jantjies stepped up and successfully converted both tries. The Pretoria-side took the lead of 21-10 at the break.

As the second half commence the Bulls attack just proved too strong and they added another unanswered brace of tries, through dangerman Jamba Ulengo and Hanro Liebenberg.

Lions try to get themselves in the match as their scored a much-needed try, but with three minutes left on the clock, the Bulls rounded off the score as their newest recruit, Shaun Adendorf added his name to the scoresheet.

The final score 38-17 to the Bulls.
