Sunwolves see off Top League All Stars

PRE-SEASON: The Sunwolves warmed up for their 2017 Super Rugby campaign with a 24-12 win over a Japan Top League All Stars side.

The Sunwolves opened the scoring with a Hayden Cripps penalty before the Top League XV scored two tries to race away to a 12-3 lead.

However, the Sunwolves hit back with a converted try of their own via Timothy Lafaele in the 30th minute to reduce the deficit to two points.

It was the Sunwolves, who would eventually go into the lead before the break when Edward Quirk went over for a score.

The second half was a bit of an arm wrestle before scrumhalf Fumiaki Tanaka sealed the win for the Sunwolves with a try in the 75th minute.
