Kerevi: We need to keep it simple

The Reds slumped to a 19-26 defeat to the Western Force in Round Two of Super Rugby after they started their campaign with a 28-26 win over the Sharks.

"I think we just need to keep it simple," said Kerevi. "The Sharks game was close and they put a lot of pressure on us, but simplicity is what got us out of that game. We ran hard and we ran square and that was what won us the game last weekend."

Kerevi said their expansive style against the Force in Perth backfired.

"We don't think it was a reality check. The Force are a really good team and we should not take any team lightly.

"We didn't play the game we wanted to play. We tried to play too much expansive footy in our half, so I think that is what cost us the game," he added.

The Crusaders have recorded two wins from two so far and Kerevi knows what they will be up against at Suncorp Stadium.

"We just need to look in the mirror and we need to prepare well again for the Crusaders. They have been playing well and they won their two games, so we need to prepare well," said Kerevi.
