Meyer to lead Cheetahs against Jaguares

TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: Scrumhalf Tian Meyer will captain the Cheetahs against the Jaguares at Velez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires on Saturday.

Coach Franco Smith made seven changes to the starting XV that edged the Sunwolves in Bloemfontein last week.

Danie Mienie (prop), Elandré Huggett (hooker), Tom Botha (prop), Armandt Koster (lock), Henco Venter (flank), Niel Marais (flyhalf) and Ruan van Rensburg (wing) are all promoted to the starting XV.

Charles Marais, Johan Coetzee, Paul Schoeman and Fred Zeilinga all drop down to the bench.

Elandré Huggett replaces Torsten van Jaarsveld - the captain in the opening weeks - at hooker.

Armandt Koster takes over from Justin Basson on lock.

Ruan van Rensburg comes into the starting XV in place of the injured Raymond Rhule on the wing.

Michael van der Spuy will be joining the starting line-up, replacing Ryno Benjamin at outside centre.

Benjamin moves to right wing.

Joseph Dweba, Carl Wegner, William Small-Smith/Johannes Prinsloo and Shaun Venter have all been added to the replacement bench.
