Bothma, Cooper in hot water

Bothma is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4(e) Dangerous tackling of an Opponent when he made contact with Sunwolves player Ed Quirk during the match between the Bulls and the Sunwolves at Loftus Versfeld on March 17.

All SANZAAR disciplinary matters are in the first instance referred to the Foul Play Review Committee to provide the option of expediting the judicial process. For a matter to be dispensed with at this hearing, the person appearing must plead guilty and accept the penalty offered by the Foul Play Review Committee.

The Reds' Quade Cooper will appear before a SANZAAR Judicial Hearing after he received a red card at the weekend.

Following initial consideration by the Foul Play Review Committee, Cooper will appear before Terry Willis (Chairman), De Wet Barry and Mike Mika – Judicial Committee for the Hearing – via video conference.

He is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4(e) Dangerous tackling of an Opponent during the match between the Lions and Reds at Ellis Park, Johannesburg on March 18.
