Esterhuizen to face the music

NEWS: Sharks centre Andre Esterhuizen will appear before a SANZAAR Judicial Hearing on Monday for dangerous play during his team's 9-all draw with the Melbourne Rebels.

The 23-year-old red carded for alleged foul play during a Super Rugby match at the weekend.

Esterhuizen is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4(j) Lifting a Player from the ground and either dropping or driving that player's head and/or upper body into the ground whilst the player's feet are off the ground, during the match at Kings Park, Durban.

The Judicial Committee for the Hearing will be Michael Heron (Chairman), De Wet Barry and John Langford which will be held by video conference on Monday, April 24 via video-conference.

The Sharks next face the Jaguares in Buenos Aires in Round 10 of Super Rugby.

The Durban-based side are eight points behind the Lions in the Africa Conference Two standings.
