Potgieter started in the opening two matches of the Super Rugby season, before he suffered concussion and only returned to action – where he played off the bench – in the last two matches.
He replaces Jannes Kirsten at flank, with the latter moving to the replacement bench.
Jan Serfontein, who was rested last week, is also named on the bench.
