Lions bring out big guns for Sunwolves

The Lions' Springboks and SA 'A' players are back for the encounter at Ellis Park with the exception of captain Warren Whiteley.

 

Whiteley was ruled out with a pelvis injury and is expected to be sidelined for up to eight weeks.

In Whiteley's absence, Jaco Kriel will captain the side.

 

The match is the Lions' penultimate Super Rugby match before the play-offs start. 

The team has a bye next week and travel to Durban to take on the Sharks on July 15.
