The Stormers – who lost to the Waratahs (27-34) and the Crusaders (28-45), in the first two matches – conclude their trip when they face the Highlanders in Dunedin on Friday.

Centre Dan du Plessis has recovered fully from a shoulder injury and will be available for selection to face the Blues at Newlands, when the Stormers return home next week.

Lock John Schickerling will undergo surgery on a torn pectoral muscle and has been ruled out for four months.

Hooker Bongi Mbonambi has had two abdominal surgeries as a result of appendicitis and will only be fit to train fully in three months.

Flyhalf Jean-Luc du Plessis (groin) has returned to full training and is expected to be fit for selection in the next few weeks.

Both Eben Etzebeth and Frans Malherbe are progressing well on their rehabilitation programmes and will continue to be assessed closely.
