Waratahs keeping Kepu

Mon, 06 Jul 2009 08:54

Wallaby Test prop Sekope Kepu has been retained by the New South Wales Waratahs for a further two Super 14 seasons, the Waratahs said on Monday.

Kepu, who made his Wallaby debut on last November's tour of Europe, has played two internationals and has made 10 appearances for the Waratahs.

The Sydney franchise said it has also secured backrower Ben Mowen and young hooker Damien Fitzpatrick for next season.

"Re-signing a prop of Sekope's ability was extremely important for us," Waratahs' coach Chris Hickey said.

"There's still a couple of vacancies open on the roster and we're doing a lot of work behind the scenes to set ourselves up in the best possible way for 2010."
