Ellison confirms his move

All Black utility back Tamati Ellison has formally signed for Japan's Ricoh Black Rams, confirming earlier reports that he would rule himself out of next year's World Cup in New Zealand by opting to continue his career in Japan.
The 26-year-old Hurricanes back made his Test debut against Italy last season after making his provincial debut for Wellington in 2003 and playing his first Super Rugby match in 2005.
The New Zealand Rugby Union has a policy of restricting selection to players based in New Zealand for the All Blacks, which will make Ellison ineligible for the World Cup.
The Black Rams also have Australia's 96-Test cap Wallaby flyhalf Stephen Larkham and Ellison's former Hurricanes team-mate, wing Roy Kinikinilau, in their team.
