Biarritz in friendly with Tigers
Fri, 15 Aug 2008 13:45
Biarritz play a friendly against the Leicester Tigers at Aguiléra on Friday.
It's very much an experimental Biarritz side, partly caused by an impressive injury list - Benoît August, (groin), Fabien Barcella (right quad), Marcelo Bosch (right shoulder), Agustín Creevy (right shoulder), Wenceslas Lauret (stomach muscle), Bastien Sohet (left knee) and Ashwin Willemse (left ankle).
For Leicester their new coach will get his first sight of his new club in action. It will be a young rather than a full side as England internationals are missing and there are injuries, including Martín Castrogiovanni, Lewis Moody and new signing Derick Hougaard who arrived from South Africa with a shoulder injury.
Scrumhalf Julien Dupuy has the interesting opportunity of starting for his new club against his old club.
Tigers, who will wear their new light blue and white away kit for the first time.
