Toulon, Stade fined for mass brawl

Toulon and Stade Français were both fined on Thursday for a mass brawl which overshadowed their French Top 14 clash last month, the league's disciplinary committee (LNR) announced.
The two French clubs will have to pay 5,000 Euros (US$ 6,900) each as reparations for an almighty punch-up that took place during their opening Top 14 clash on September 12, which continued to spill over from the field.
Toulon prop David Banquet and Stade counterpart Rodrigo Roncero were suspended for 10 days, while Toulon's South African scrumhalf Norman Jordaan was banned for 20 days for punching an opponent.
