Eight week blow for Biarritz star

Sun, 31 Jan 2010 18:29

England international flank Magnus Lund has been ruled out of action for up to eight weeks after it was confirmed that he had done some serious damage to his finger.

Lund, a mainstay in the Top 14 play-off chasing, and Heineken Cup quarterfinal side, Biarritz, is believed to have ruptured a ligament during Thursday's derby clash with Bayonne and will miss at least three of their next domestic match-ups.

According to rugby365.fr, the Englishman has already undergone surgery and is hopeful of being back in time to take part in Biarritz's Heineken Cup final eight clash with the Ospreys on April 10th.
