The Basque club Bayonne is joining in the scramble for players for next season. Rodney Blake of Queensland has signed and they have Joe Rokocoko in their sights.
Earlier this year their ambition stretched to World Cup Springboks Bryan Habana and Wynand Olivier who now seemed to have settled for the Bulls.
Massive, 25-year-old Wallaby prop (136 kg), Blake has signed. They have also signed veteran prop Denis Avril (35) from Biarritz.
Then they have centre Thibault Lacroix (23) from relegated Albi, loose forward Julien Puricelli (26) from Castres, scrumhalf Cédric Garcia (25) of Montauban and wing Benjamin Fall from Bordeaux in Pro D2. Fall has been playing for France at the Junior World Championship in Wales.
They have extended for two years the contracts of centre Vincent Inigo (25) and loose forwards Jacques Deen (30) and Guillaume Bernad (25).
Wouldn't Rokocoko be a catch?
