Perpignan scrumhalf Chris Cusiter has lost his battle for fitness in time for the French Top 14 championship semifinal against Clermont, the Catalan club's manager Jacques Brunel said Wednesday.
The 26-year-old Scot, who earlier this month suffered a rib injury in a victory over Dax, will be replaced by Devid Mele for Saturday's showdown in Marseille, Brunel added.
Three other Perpignan players are injury worries, with David Marty, Kisi Pulu and Jean-Philippe Grandclaude joining the doubtful list.
