Bothma lines up Tonga

The Welwitschias went down 14-58 at the hands of defending champions New Zealand in their opening match but their performance gained them the respect of the All Blacks.

In the backline, Chrysander Botha moves off the bench to replace Johan Tromp who shifts to the wing while David Philander moves to the bench. Danie Van Wyk starts at outside centre in place of JC Greyling and Russel Van Wyk replaces Conrad Marais on the wing.

Eneill Buitendag joins Theuns Kotze as the half back pairing while Sharks loose forward Renaldo Bothma and Western Provinces's Rohan Kitshoff joins captain Jacques Burger as the loose trio.

Janco Venter replaces Pieter-Jan van Lill at lock while Casper Viviers comes in Jaco Engels in the front row.

Only once have they made more changes in successive RWC matches – at RWC 2007 in France – the Namibians made 10 changes between their second and third matches.

Johnny Redelinghuys, who holds his country's record for the most number of caps, is on the bench and will be hoping to extend his Test record to 49 appearances.

Tinus du Plessis, one of two players on 47 caps – one behind Redelinghuys – is also on the bench.

Redelinghuys can become the eighth Namibian to have played at three World Cups. Heino Senekal, Hugo Horn, Herman Lintvelt and Deon Mouton had achieved that before 2015, while Jacques Burger, Tinus du Plessis and Eugene Jantjies achieved the feat earlier at RWC 2015.

Jacques Burger will make his 10th World Cup appearance, which leaves him one shy of the team record of 11 held by Hugo Horn.
