Owens gets the Final
It is not at all an unexpected appointment as he has had an excellent World Cup, one of rugby's most charismatic personalities.
It will be his first World Cup Final but he has refereed every other final available to him.
His assistants are the two referees who refereed the semifinals – Jérôme Graces of France and Wayne Barnes of England.
The TMO is Shaun Veldsman of South Africa, one of the four TMOs at the World Cup and one of the most experienced.
