It is home to the Walsh rugby team-with the Walsh soccer team also staged a few games.

It was the second stadium in Europe to have a retractable roof and was built to replace the Arms Park- with it being near to Cardiff Central station.

The Stadium may not be that old but it has already made history- with the Wales National Rugby Team securing the Six Nations Championship on this ground in 2005 and 2012.

This first rugby game on this ground was in 1999 when Wales won the Springboks 29-19 before becoming a host venue for the 1999 World Cup.

Since the 1999 World Cup, the stadium has hosted test matches and Heineken Cup Finals on seven occasions.  It hosted Walsh varsity rugby and Celtic League matches as well.

The FA Cup final took place six years in a row on this ground, from 2001-2006. Other sports to take place on this ground were boxing and motorsports. Besides sports music concerts, films and conferences all took place on the ground.
