Twickenham is the home of English rugby- with thousands of great battles and jaw dropping moments. From former England captain Bill Beaumont who was lifted off the field after the 1980 Grand Slam to Australia beating England in the 1991 World Cup.

The 1991 and 1991 World cup had matches staged on Twickenham. The Stadium also hosted the Middlesex Sevens, the Aviva Premiership final, the LV Cup, Heineken Cup matches and Barbarian F.C home matches.

This Stadium is considered to be an icon in English rugby- with many rugby fans having a memory about it. In the 2009/2010 it was the 100th anniversary of the stadium and was marked by the England team wearing a special commemorative shirt against Wales on February 6 2010.

The ground is usually occupied by rugby matches but in the past it has hosted a number of events, such as concerts by Rihanna, Bryan Adams, The Rolling Stones and U2, just to name a few. It has also hosted the Conventions of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The World Rugby Union museum is located at the stadium- with it covering the whole global game and tells the history of the sport, including the William Webb Ellis and Richard Lindon by using interactive display techniques. The museum has a programme of special exhibitions which cover topical issues- with the English rugby union jersey, from the first rugby union international in 1871 also on display. The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday.

This ground will host 10 2015 Rugby World Cup Matches.
