Giteau commits to Toulon

Australian utility back Matt Giteau on Thursday revealed he has signed a contract extension with French club Toulon.

Giteau announced on Twitter that he has extended his stay at the big-spending club by two years.

"Signed for another 2 yrs in Toulon! Enjoying the challenges of Top 14 & Heineken Cup… Oh & French language!!" tweeted Giteau.

Toulon have also retained the services of France wing Alexis Palisson for a further three years.

"I re-signed for several reasons: the enthusiasm around the club, the fans, the living environment, results and of course the great atmosphere in the team," said Palisson, who is currently nursing a back injury.

"With regards to my fitness, I am doing rehabilitation on the bike, in the pool and also a bit of fitness. I am doing this without pain. I should resume non-contact workouts in a month."
