Pumas pack haunting England

England are looking to make it four Test wins in a year against Argentina having beaten the Pumas 2-0 in South America in the summer as well as a 27-14 victory at Twickenham Stadium last year.

"You look at the Rugby Championship and they maybe try to play a little bit more," said Cole.

"But when they came to Twickenham last year the first thing was the scrum, taking us on and trying to beat us there,"

"That's what we expect, that's what we're preparing for.

"Obviously we know they can do more around the field and they can expand their game, and we have to deal with that as well, but as a pack, our first focus is set piece," he added.

There is a chance that Cole could start in the front row alongside Leicester Tigers teammate Ellis Genge against the Pumas.

Genge, 22, moved to the Tigers initially on loan in January 2016 and made the move permanent later that year when he received his first England call-up.

"He's progressed a lot," said Cole, who has 74 caps. "When he came to Leicester he was very raw but I think playing week in, week out. He's made massive improvements in his game.

"He's always been able to carry and always had that abrasive edge, but it is more controlled in what he can do and can channel his physicality better – I think he's got better as a defender and his scrummaging has come along as well.

"I think previously he was call-up on potential and I think he is now, here on merit as he's been playing as one of the top two or three looseheads in the country.

"He plays on the edge but he rarely goes over it. He chats in scrums to the opposition, is vocal around the field and gives people some stuff, but that's just the way he plays the game,"

The two sides will lock horns on Saturday, November 11 in the Series opener at Twickenham.
