Armitage signs on at Toulon

England international fullback Delon Armitage has signed a two-year extension to his Toulon contract, tying him to the Top 14 club until 2016.

The 30-year-old, who has not played for England since moving to France in 2012, won the European Cup in his first season with Toulon.

Although born in the West Indies, Armitage spent six years of his childhood on the Cote D'Azur and started playing rugby with Nice before being selected for France's under-16 team.

On returning to England he joined Richmond before signing for London Irish, where he spent 10 years before moving to Toulon.

His brother Steffon, also an England international, plays alongside him on the south coast of France while another brother Guy plays for his old club, London Irish.
