France star to miss New Zealand tour

The 25-year-old former sevens specialist, who has won 17 caps for his adopted country in the XV-man code and last played in this season's Six Nations tournament, will resume training in mid-August.

Vakatawa will also be unavailable for selection for the July 20-22 Rugby World Cup Sevens in San Francisco.

France's three-Test series against the All Blacks starts on June 9 in Auckland.

The second Test is in Wellington on June 16. The third and final Test is in Dunedin on June 23.
