French prop out of Tests

France were dealt a blow ahead of their tough November Test programme with news that key Clermont prop Thomas Domingo will be out for a month after he undergoes knee arthroscopy.

Domingo suffered a lesion of the medial meniscus in club training on Friday and will undergo the operation on Saturday, Clermont said.

The absence of the 28-year-old, capped 27 times by France, will likely open the way for Racing-Metro rival Eddy Ben Arous.

France play New Zealand in Paris on November 9 before heading to Le Havre to play Tonga a week later and returning to the capital to round off their Tests against South Africa on November 23.
