Serfontein making No.12 position his own?

Serfontein started at No.12 in both the first and second Tests against France and he has not disappointed with some solid performances in that inside channel.  

"He's [Serfontein] been worth a million bucks I'd say," Coetzee told reporters after the second Test in Durban. 

"He is the go-to-man, the most experienced back out there starting and he has delivered."

Serfontein will be heading overseas at the end of the season and Coetzee admitted that he wanted the 24-year-old to qualify for international selection before he leaves the country.

Under the new South African Rugby Union rules, only overseas-based Springboks with more than 30 Test caps will be eligible for national selection.

"I thought about that, that is why I included him in the team," Coetzee added.

"Hopefully by the end of October, when he is supposed to leave, he would have played 30 games and he will qualify to play for South Africa. 

"As long as he stays fit and performs, we will definitely have no doubt to select him again."

Another player who was a standout in the series so far is loose forward Kolisi.

Kolisi produced a man-of-the-match performance in the 37-15 win in Durban last Saturday. 

"We know Kolisi's ability as a player and as a leader and he is in form. 

"He has been in form for the Stormers as well and he has just carried through with the form that he had – fortunately backing up, not just in the way he plays, but outside the field as well. 

"Off the field, he is magnificent with making sure we keep the group together," said Coetzee.

South Africa face France in the third and final Test at Ellis Park in Johannesburg on Saturday.
