All not lost for Gloucester

Nigel Davies doesn't think all is lost for his Gloucester side in the European Cup despite their 16-10 home defeat against Edinburgh.

The Scottish side took revenge for their home defeat at Murrayfield the previous weekend and left Gloucester five points adrift of pool leaders Munster with two games to go. Davies' men host Munster in Round Five.

"It was a very, very frustrating that we weren't able to back up at Murrayfield. But all is not lost, even though this defeat is a huge set-back," said Davies.

"The Munster fixture here at Kingsholm is still a big one for us. Then we will have to go to Perpignan, who are probably out of it now.

"We were buoyed by last week's result, but we still aren't in the rhythm of winning games. We had most of the possession and territory, but conditions dictated that that wasn't the way to play the game.

"We didn't have enough field position and we didn't respect that. We weren't going to score from 60 metres out in those conditions – we simply didn't manage the game well enough and got things badly wrong."
