Another blow for BlitzBokke

Another member of the victorious Springbok team has been forced out of the London leg of IRB Sevens World Series.

Outside back Steven Hunt suffered ankle ligament damage in Glasgow and was withdrawn by the medical team on Wednesday.

He will be replaced by Tshotsho Mbovane, who helped the South Africans capture the Tokyo Sevens crown in Japan in March.

Hunt is the fourth member of the side that won the Glasgow Sevens this past Sunday to miss the last tournament of the Series.

On Tuesday Paul Delport was forced out of the London event due to a knee injury, while Seabelo Senatla and Justin Geduld on Monday returned to South Africa to join up with the Junior Springboks squad.

Cecil Afrika, Werner Kok, Bernado Botha and Mbovane are the confirmed replacements.

South Africa – revised: Frankie Horne (captain), Philip Snyman, Chris Dry, Jamba Ulengo, Stephan Dippenaar, Werner Kok*, Cecil Afrika, Bernado Botha, WJ Strydom, Tshotsho Mbovane, Pieter Engelbrecht, Cornal Hendricks.
