Arnold appeal hearing postponed

The appeal hearing of Griquas lock Rory Arnold has been postponed until Monday, September 9, the South African Rugby Union announced on Friday.

On Wednesday a SARU judicial hearing found Arnold guilty of contravening Law 10.4(m) – following a biting incident in the Griquas' Currie Cup clash against the Free State Cheetahs last Saturday.

The player was handed a suspension of seven matches.

According to the sanction, the player is suspended up to and including October 19, pending the appeal.
