Boshoff still top of the pile

The Lions may have suffered a disappointing defeat at the weekend, but they are still top of the pile in one department.

Despite their 17-25 loss to the Bulls, which ended their unbeaten start to the season, Lions flyhalf Marnitz Boshoff remains well clear in the individual points scorers' race.

Boshoff has collected 57 points from the first three rounds – which include three conversions, 13 penalties and four drop-goals.

His total is almost twice as much as the next best, Sharks pivot Patrick Lambie – who has scored 33 points in his two appearances this season. Lambie has a try, two conversions and eight penalties to his credit.

Waratahs fullback Israel Folau leads the try-scoring stakes – his five touchdowns well clear of a host of players on two each.
