Bulls' Adongo off to join Umaga?

Bulls strongman Daniel Adongo has given up waiting for an opportunity in Pretoria and will be jetting of to New Zealand.

The Kenyan-born player joined the Bulls from the Sharks at the end of last year after becoming frustrated with life in Durban, but it appears as though Pretoria was no better.

Standing at a massive 1,98 metres and weighing in at 113 kilograms, Adongo cuts an imposing figure. However, despite all his physical attributes he was offered limited opportunities with the Vodacom Cup side this season, despite scoring a hat-trick on debut.

The 23-year-old has been offered a contract to join former All Black captain Tana Umaga at Counties Manakau in the NPC, according to a report on the SuperSport website, after impressing the Kiwi legend.

Unconfirmed reports are that Adongo has been offered a two-year deal by the New Zealand province and will link up with them after being continually snubbed by the Bulls.

The Bulls were unable to comment on the story when contacted by this website, whilst attempts to reach Adongo were unsuccessful.
