Daniel gets ton, as Sharks change

Japan-bound veteran loose forward Keegan Daniel will make his 100th Super Rugby appearance for the Sharks when they play the Highlanders on Friday.

The livewire loose forward has been around on the domestic scene for a number of seasons and made his Springbok debut against Ireland in 2010, after playing a starring role as the team from KwaZulu-Natal won the Currie Cup that year.

He has made four more Test appearances in 2012, but has since fallen out of favour with Bok coach Heyneke Meyer.

Meanwhile Sharks Director of Rugby Jake White was forced to make changes to the Sharks backline.

He also welcomes back two players from injury for Friday's Kings Park outing.

This is the Sharks final home game ahead of their four-match tour to Australasia.

The loss of Tonderai Chavhanga to a hamstring injury against the Cheetahs last and Odwa Ndungane's absence for another week – following a blow to the shoulder – has necessitated a reshuffling of the backline.

Sibusiso Sithole moves to wing and Paul Jordaan makes his return at outside centre.

The good news is that JP Pietersen has recovered after missing out last week, after pulling up in training, and he will play on the other wing.

The rest of the side remains unchanged, with Tim Swiel getting another go at flyhalf after making his first start last week in the victorious clash against the Cheetahs.
